Reto Sorg, born in St. Gallen in 1960, is a literary scholar. He taught modern German literature at the University of Lausanne and, from 2007, directed the Robert Walser Centre in Bern. He also served as a co-editor of the Bern edition of Robert Walser’s works, published by Suhrkamp. His numerous publications address modern and contemporary literature and art, including studies of Paul Klee such as “Die satirische Muse” (2005) and “Historiografie der Moderne” (2016), which he co-edited with Osamu Okuda and with Michael Baumgartner and Andreas Michel, respectively.
