Ralf Konersmann

Ralf Konersmann (born 1955) is a German philosopher and author. He received his doctorate in 1987 and completed his habilitation in 1993. After working at the FernUniversität in Hagen, he was professor of cultural theory and cultural philosophy at Leipzig University from 1993 to 1996. He subsequently taught philosophy and philosophy education at Kiel University, where he served as director of the Philosophical Seminar until March 2021. Konersmann was co-editor of the “Historisches Wörterbuch der Philosophie” and the “Zeitschrift für Kulturphilosophie.” His books include “Die Unruhe der Welt” (2015) and “Wörterbuch der Unruhe” (2017), which received the Tractatus Essay Prize from Philosophicum Lech.
