Pat To Yan (born 1975) is a playwright and director. He writes in English. His plays have been performed in Hong Kong as well as in Saarbrücken, Frankfurt am Main, Munich and Freiburg. During the 2021/22 season, he was playwright-in-residence at the National Theatre Mannheim. In 2022, the Munich Biennale presented his libretto “The Damned and the Saved” in cooperation with the National Theatre and the Mannheim Opera. His plays have been translated into German by John Birke and Ulrike Syha.
