Michael Trowitzsch

Michael Trowitzsch, born in 1945, is a German theologian. He studied in Tübingen, Zurich, and Heidelberg, and subsequently served as a vicar and pastor in Württemberg. He received his doctorate in 1974 and completed his habilitation in 1981. After working as a research assistant in Bochum and as a private lecturer in Tübingen, he was Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Münster from 1983 to 1993 and at Friedrich Schiller University Jena from 1993 to 2010. In Jena, he was also a member of the Thuringian regional church synod.
