Michael Beintker

Michael Beintker, born in 1947, studied theology in Jena and Halle (Saale) from 1965 to 1970. He received his doctorate in 1972 and completed his habilitation in 1984. From 1972 to 1985, he was a research associate at the Faculty of Theology of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, where he subsequently taught as a lecturer. In 1990, he was appointed professor of systematic theology in Halle. From 1992 to 2015, he was professor of systematic theology and director of the Seminar for Reformed Theology at the University of Münster. He has been emeritus since 2015 and holds an honorary doctorate.
