Michael Dante DiMartino

Michael Dante DiMartino is an American screenwriter and director. He was the co-creator, producer, and story editor of the animated series *Avatar: The Last Airbender* and *The Legend of Korra*. Both series became successful franchises with a feature film, video games, books, and comics. DiMartino was born in Shelburne, Vermont, and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he met Bryan Konietzko, his later creative partner. As story editor, he led the writing team for both series and continued the story of *Korra* as a writer of the comic series.
