Martin Scholz

Martin Scholz is a journalist and author. He has written for publications including Süddeutsche Zeitung, Zeit-Magazin and Stern, and from 2000 to 2011 he headed the magazine of the Frankfurter Rundschau. From 2013 onward, he worked at Welt am Sonntag, where he was responsible for the interview series “Das Gespräch.” His books published by Kampa include interview volumes on the Rolling Stones and Sting: “Rocking and Rolling. 60 Jahre Bandgeschichte in Gesprächen” and “Message in a book. Ein Porträt in Gesprächen.” His engagement with Sting dates back to hearing his first Police record in 1979; he first met the musician in Amsterdam in 1988.
