Markus Moling was born in Bruneck in 1978. He studied philosophy and theology in Innsbruck and was ordained a priest in Brixen in 2006. Since 2016, he has taught philosophy as a professor at the Philosophical-Theological University of Brixen. His research interests include environmental, wildlife and hunting ethics.
