Maria Schrader

Maria Schrader is a German actress, screenwriter and director. She became known in part for her role in the film drama “Aimée & Jaguar,” for which she received the Bavarian Film Award and the German Film Award in Gold. In 2007, she made her directorial debut with an adaptation of Zeruya Shalev’s novel “LoveLife.” She also attracted attention as the director of “Stefan Zweig: Farewell to Europe” (“Vor der Morgenröte”). In 2010, she received the German Audiobook Prize for her reading of Andrew Sean Greer’s “The Story of a Marriage.” In 2020, she received an Emmy for her work as a director.
