Maren Urner

Maren Urner is a neuroscientist. She studied cognitive and neuroscience subjects, including at McGill University in Montreal, and earned a doctorate in neuroscience from University College London. In 2016, she co-founded the advertising-free online magazine Perspective Daily, which focuses on constructive journalism, and served as its editor-in-chief until March 2019. She subsequently taught media psychology at the Media University of Applied Sciences in Cologne until August 2024. In September 2024, she became a professor of sustainable transformation at Münster University of Applied Sciences. Urner has published the books Schluss mit dem täglichen Weltuntergang (2019), Raus aus der ewigen Dauerkrise (2021), and Radikal emotional: Wie Gefühle Politik machen (2024), described as SPIEGEL bestsellers. In 2023, she received the B.A.U.M. Environmental and Sustainability Award in the Science category.
