Lily Brett

Lily Brett was born in Germany in 1946 and emigrated to Australia with her family in 1948. At the age of 19, she began writing for an Australian rock music magazine, interviewing and profiling artists including Jimi Hendrix and Mick Jagger. She later became known as an author. Her parents married in the Łódź ghetto, were separated in Auschwitz, and found each other again twelve months later.
