Lewis Trondheim (born 1964 in Fontainebleau, France) is a French comics writer and artist. He attended a comics seminar in Cérisy in 1987 and published his first comic the following year. Along with Jean-Christophe Menu, Killoffer, Stanislas, Mattt Konture and David B., he was one of the founders of the publishing house L’Association. In the German-speaking world, he is best known for the series “Herr Hase” (Lapinot), “Donjon” and “Ralph Azham”, as well as the autobiographical work “Approximate Continuum Comics”. His other works include “La Mouche”, a wordless comic. In 2006, Trondheim received the Grand Prix de la Ville d’Angoulême for his body of work.
