Joann Sfar

Joann Sfar (born 1971 in Nice) is a French comics creator, caricaturist, screenwriter, novelist, director and columnist. His first books were published by the French independent publisher L’Association. Together with Lewis Trondheim, he created the fantasy series »Dungeon«, which became internationally known. His notable works include »Pascin«, »Klezmer«, »Chagall in Russia« and »Little Vampire«. He is particularly known for »The Rabbi’s Cat«, which was adapted into a film in 2011.
