Kristin Platt

Kristin Platt holds a doctorate and habilitation in the fields of social psychology, social science and cultural studies. She worked at the Institute for Diaspora and Genocide Research at Ruhr University Bochum, where she served as director, and was also a private lecturer at the Institute of Cultural Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin. Her scholarly work focused particularly on violence and genocide research and on the psychological and social consequences of political violence for survivors. Further publications addressed individual and collective violence, National Socialism and the Holocaust.
