Kate Grenville

Kate Grenville is an Australian writer. She has published numerous novels, as well as nonfiction and books about the writing process. She gained international recognition in particular for The Secret River, published in German in 2006 as »Der verborgene Fluss«, which was adapted for the stage and as a television miniseries. Her novel The Idea of Perfection won the Orange Prize for Fiction, now the Women’s Prize for Fiction. In 2017, Grenville received the Australia Council Award for Lifetime Achievement in Literature.
