Kat Menschik

Kat Menschik (born 1968 in Luckenwalde) is a German illustrator, artist and comic artist. In the 1990s, she co-founded Millionen-Verlag and edited the screen-print magazine “AOC.” From 1999 onward, she worked as a freelance artist, including for the features section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung and other newspapers and magazines. She illustrated numerous books for children and adults, including works by Haruki Murakami such as Sleep and The Bakery Attacks. From 2016, she designed and curated the Lieblingsbücher series at Galiani Berlin. Her own work includes the comic The Golden Grubber, which was published in one hundred installments in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Her book designs have received several awards.
