John Yudkin

John Yudkin (1910–1995) was an English physiologist, bacteriologist and nutrition scientist. In 1945, he became professor of physiology at the University of London. From 1954 to 1972, he was professor of nutrition in London. Yudkin advised the Israeli government on nutritional matters and served as rector of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He became particularly known for his research into the connection between the consumption of sugar and sugary foods and heart disease.
