Jens Kastner

Jens Kastner (*1970) is a sociologist and art historian. He worked as a senior lecturer at the Institute for Art and Cultural Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and as a private lecturer at Leuphana University Lüneburg. His research focuses on cultural and social theory, art criticism, and the history and theory of social movements, anarchism, and Latin American studies. From 2005 onward, he served as coordinating editor of the Vienna-based journal Bildpunkt. In 2011, he received the ADKV/Art Cologne Award for Art Criticism.
