J. D. Vance

James David Vance, born in 1984, is an American author. He grew up in Middletown, Ohio, and in the Appalachian region of Kentucky. He later studied law at Yale University and worked for an investment firm. He became known for his autobiographical book “Hillbilly Elegy,” which describes his background and the social and economic conditions of the region where he grew up.
