Gregor Hens

Gregor Hens, born in Cologne in 1965, taught at several American universities for more than two decades, most recently at Ohio State University. From 2013 onward, he worked as a freelance author and literary translator. He wrote novels and essays and translated literature from English, including works by Leonard Cohen, Rawi Hage, Kurt Vonnegut and Will Self. His translation of Will Self’s *Shark* was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Translator’s Prize. His memoir *Nikotin* was translated into six languages.
