Herbert Friedmann

Herbert Friedmann (born 1951) studied geosciences in Würzburg and subsequently headed the research department of an engineering company. He published around 100 books for children, young people, and adults, some of which were translated into several languages. His work earned him numerous prizes and scholarships, including the Hans-im-Glück Prize. He also served as the town writer of Otterndorf and as Esslingen’s Bahnwärter, a literary residency position.
