Christine Spindler

Christine Spindler was born in Backnang in 1960. After finishing school, she initially studied physics in Heidelberg but soon discovered a stronger interest in languages. She worked at a translation agency before becoming a freelance author and translator in 1999. Spindler has published children’s and young adult books, chick lit, and crime novels. Many of her books appeared under the pseudonym Tina Zang, including the children’s series “Karatehamster,” which brought her to the attention of a broad young readership.
