Heinz Fischer

Heinz Fischer (born 1938 in Graz) is an Austrian politician and holds a doctorate in law. He served as a member of parliament for the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), as Minister of Science, and as First and Second President of the Austrian National Council. From 2004 to 2016, he served as President of the Republic of Austria.
