Gregor Seferens

Gregor Seferens, born in 1964, studied German, Dutch studies and philosophy at the universities of Bonn and Cologne. As a translator, he translated fiction, poetry and nonfiction from Dutch into German, including works by Harry Mulisch, Geert Mak, Maarten ’t Hart, Anna Enquist, Yves Petry and Joost Zwagerman. In 2000, he received the Else-Otten Translation Prize for his translation of Harry Mulisch’s novel *The Procedure*, and in 2007 the James Brockway Prize for his translations of poetry.
