Giuseppe Veltri

Giuseppe Veltri was Professor of Jewish Studies at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from 1997 to 2014. In 2014, he became Professor of Jewish Philosophy and Religion at the University of Hamburg. He also received an honorary professorship in the study of religion at Leipzig University in 2010 and was appointed director of the Maimonides Centre for Advanced Studies in Hamburg in 2015. His research focuses on Jewish philosophy and the history of religion in the Renaissance and early modern period.
