G Willow Wilson

G. Willow Wilson (born 1982 in New Jersey) is an American author of comics, novels, essays, and journalism. She studied in Boston, converted to Islam while at university, and lived in Egypt for several years, reporting from there for publications including The New York Times Magazine. Her debut novel, Alif the Unseen, received the World Fantasy Award. Her notable comics include the graphic novel Cairo, the series Air, Wonder Woman, and The Dreaming: Waking Hours. Wilson wrote the formative early adventures of Ms. Marvel, also known as Kamala Khan, earning a Hugo Award and the Max and Moritz Prize. Her science-fiction series Invisible Kingdom received an Eisner Award.
