Fritz Reuter Leiber Jr. (1910–1992) was an author of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. He was the son of stage and film actor Fritz Leiber Sr. His best-known works include Conjure Wife (1943), The Green Millennium (1953), The Big Time (1961), The Wanderer (1964), “Gonna Roll the Bones” (1967), “Ill Met in Lankhmar” (1970), and Our Lady of Darkness (1977). Conjure Wife was adapted for film twice. Leiber received several Hugo and Nebula Awards, as well as the Gandalf Award in 1975, the Lovecraft Award in 1976, and the Nebula Grand Master Award for lifetime achievement in 1981.
