Fritz Habeck (1916–1997) was a novelist, playwright, children’s author, translator, theater director, editor and lawyer. He wrote primarily historical and socially critical novels, as well as children’s books, radio plays, screenplays and stage plays. From the late 1950s onward, he published crime stories under the pseudonym Glenn Gordon. Beginning in 1953, he directed the radio studio at Sender Wien. He also wrote the screenplay for *The Last Act*, an Austrian feature film about Adolf Hitler’s final days.
