Friedrich Glauser (1896–1938) was a Swiss writer. He was born in Vienna to an Austrian mother and a Swiss father and lived in Switzerland, France, Belgium, and Italy. Glauser took part in the Dada movement in Zurich and spent several years in the French Foreign Legion. He became best known for his crime novels and stories featuring Inspector Studer and is regarded as one of the major German-language crime writers. Glauser died in 1938 in Nervi near Genoa.
