Franz Dodel

Franz Dodel (born 1949 in Bern) is a Swiss writer and theologian. He is best known for the endless poem “Nicht bei Trost,” whose six volumes were published between 2004 and 2019: “A never ending Haiku,” “Haiku, endlos,” “Carmen infinitum,” “Mikrologien,” “Sequenzen,” and “Capricci.” The work received the Austrian State Prize after being recognized as one of Austria’s most beautiful books.
