Frank Weigand

Frank Weigand, born in 1973 in Stuttgart, studied Romance languages and literature, philosophy, and comparative literature. He worked as a translator and freelance cultural journalist, translating more than 150 plays from French, English, Hebrew, and Romanian into German. In recent years, he has also translated prose. Together with Sonja Finck, he translated novels by Quebec authors Jocelyne Saucier and Sophie Bienvenu. From 2011 onward, he also contributed to the publication of the theater anthology SCÈNE – neue französische Theaterstücke.
