Falk Richter (born 1969 in Hamburg) is a playwright and theatre director. Since 1994, he has worked at numerous renowned theatres in Germany and abroad, including the Schaubühne Berlin, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Zürich and Maxim Gorki Theater. His best-known plays include »GOTT IST EIN DJ«, »ELECTRONIC CITY«, »UNDER ICE«, »TRUST« and »Fear«. His texts have been published in more than 30 languages and performed worldwide. In 2013, he received the Friedrich Luft Prize for the music-theatre-dance production »For the Disconnected Child«. Richter has also developed independent projects with ensembles of actors, musicians and dancers.
