Erik Lorenz, born in Berlin in 1988, is an author and editor of travel books, country reports, biographies and narrative works. He studied international marketing as well as business and management in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, lived in Australia for a year and a half, and travelled through, among other places, Southeast Asia, China and Jordan. His publications include books on Laos, Cambodia, Hong Kong and England, as well as works on the writer Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich and Sitting Bull. He also edited the country series “Wie wir es sehen.” In 2017, he founded the online magazine and podcast WELTWACH and its English-language offshoot UNFOLDING MAPS.
