Elke Steiner

Elke Steiner (born 1969) has published poetry and prose in literary journals, anthologies and on radio. Alongside writing, her professional work has included writing education and literary mediation; she also worked, among other occupations, as a body therapist and in a cable factory, a bank and international trade. Her debut novel, Über das Licht gedreht, was published in 2018, followed by Die Frau im Atelier in 2021, both with edition keiper. Steiner has received several prizes and grants for her writing, including the jury prize in the 2022 Textfunken competition of ORF Burgenland.
