Ana Pepelnik

Ana Pepelnik, born in Ljubljana in 1979, is a poet and translator. She studied comparative literature and literary theory in Ljubljana. She has published five poetry collections; her book “Techno” (2017) was nominated for the Jenko Prize and the Veronika Prize. As a translator, she has translated poetry by Joshua Beckman, Matthew Zapruder, Jennifer Clement, Elizabeth Bishop, Sylvia Plath, James Tate and Walt Whitman, among others. She has also translated from Slovenian into English. Pepelnik was a presenter at Radio Študent and a singer in the band Boring Couple. Her work has also explored the connection between music and poetry.
