Elias Hauck

Elias Hauck (born 1978) became known as the illustrator of the cartoon duo Hauck & Bauer, which he forms with writer Dominik Bauer. The duo published in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, Titanic, Spiegel Online and Apotheken Umschau, among other outlets. Their books include »Ich kann einfach nicht Wein sagen«, »Ist das noch Entspannung oder schon Langeweile?« and »Cartoons«. Hauck also worked as an animated filmmaker for WDR and BR and was briefly an editor at Titanic. Together with Bauer, he received the Jury’s Special Prize at the German Cartoon Prize in 2018 and the Sondermann Prize for Comic Art in 2021. In 2016, Hauck edited the asparagus-joke book »Alles Spargel oder was?«.
