Dirk Gieselmann, born in 1978 in Diepholz near Bremen, is a German journalist and author. He worked as an editor for the football magazine 11FREUNDE and wrote for publications including Tagesspiegel and Das Magazin. His writing has received the Henri Nannen Award and the German Reporter Award, which he won in 2013. Together with photographer Armin Smailovic, he published Atlas der Angst; a stage adaptation of the same title was performed at Hamburg’s Thalia Theater.
