Dagmar Herzog (born 1961) is a German historian. She served as a professor of history at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and has published on the history of sexuality and the Holocaust, modern gender history, and the history of religion. Her work on sexuality and Holocaust history has received, among other distinctions, the Holocaust Educational Foundation’s Distinguished Achievement Award in Holocaust Studies; in 2023 she was awarded the Sigmund Freud Culture Prize. Her publications include „Die Politisierung der Lust“ (2005), „Sexuality in Europe“ (2011), and „Cold War Freud“ (2016).
