Christoph Zielinski

Christoph Zielinski is an Austrian internist and oncologist. He held a professorship in internal medicine and clinical immunology at the University of Vienna from 1992. From 2004 to 2017, he headed the university’s Department of Internal Medicine I; he also served as vice dean for clinical affairs and as vice rector of the Medical University of Vienna. From 2013 to 2018, he led its Comprehensive Cancer Center. Zielinski is a specialist in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. Among other distinctions, he received the Grand Silver Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria and the Golden Decoration of Honour for Services to the Province of Vienna. He co-authored »Die Medizin und ihre Feinde« with Herbert Lackner, and »Laurenzerberg« was his first novel.
