Christoph Maria Herbst

Christoph Maria Herbst, born in 1966 in Wuppertal, first trained as a bank clerk before turning to acting. He worked in theatre and became known through television productions such as “Ladykracher” and, above all, through his title role in the series “Stromberg.” His acting earned him, among other honors, the German Comedy Award, the Bavarian Television Award, the Adolf Grimme Award and the German Television Award. His film roles included appearances in “(T)Raumschiff Surprise,” “Der Wixxer,” “Contra” and “Ein Fest fürs Leben.” Herbst also worked as a voice actor and audiobook narrator, recording works by Tommy Jaud, Timur Vermes and Stefan Zweig, among others, as well as his 2010 novel “Ein Traum von einem Schiff.” In 2019, he received the German Audiobook Award in the category Best Entertainment.
