Christoph Gellner

Christoph Gellner (born 1959) is a German theologian and author. He earned a doctorate at the University of Tübingen in the fields of theology, literary studies and religious studies. After working in adult theological education as well as parish and university chaplaincy, he directed the Institute for Ecclesiastical Continuing Education and the Theological Seminary of the Third Educational Path at the University of Lucerne’s Faculty of Theology from 2000 to 2015. He has held teaching appointments at the universities of Fribourg, Lucerne and Zurich. His publications on theology and literature, Christianity and world religions include “… nach oben offen” (2013), “Blickwinkel öffnen” (with Georg Langenhorst, 2013), and “Die Bibel ins Heute schreiben” (2019).
