Christine Paxmann (born 1961 in Munich) studied German and graphic design. After a brief period in advertising and work as a publishing-house director, she turned to working with books. She has written, illustrated and developed children’s and young adult books, nonfiction and novels, including crime fiction. Her publications appeared both under her real name and under pseudonyms, including Claire Singer. Paxmann was editor of the trade magazine Eselsohr and worked in book development.
