Bettina Hannover is a psychologist and professor at Freie Universität Berlin. She headed the university’s department for school and classroom research. Her research focuses on the self-concept and its influence on thinking, feeling, and behavior, particularly on learning and the development of interests in educational settings. Together with Lysann Zander, she was responsible for the research project on the peer-assisted social and identity integration of refugee students, funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung. Hannover was also a long-standing member of the psychology review board of the German Research Foundation and of the main jury for the German School Award.
