Anna Maria Scholz (*1977), known by her stage name Anna Mateur, studied music. She had originally intended to apply to study graphic design or acting instead. From 2003 onward, she worked as a singer, lyricist, actress and illustrator, performing in German-speaking countries with, among others, the ensemble Anna Mateur and the Beuys. Her awards include the German Cabaret Prize (2008), the Salzburger Stier (2009), the Bavarian Cabaret Prize (2010) and the Marlene Audience Award in Weimar (2015). In 2015, she published her first book, “Wehwehchen-Atlas”; the audio play album “Gut sortiert” followed in 2016. In Rosa von Praunheim’s stage musical “Die Bettwurst – Das Musical”, she played Tante Luzi in 2022.
