Andrea Schomburg

Andrea Schomburg was born in Cairo and grew up in the Rhineland. She is a poet, cabaret performer and children’s author. In addition to poetry collections and prose for adults, she has published numerous children’s books; her first poetry collection appeared in 2007. Her professional work also included teaching at secondary schools and teaching poetry and theatre techniques at Leuphana University Lüneburg. Her children’s book *Der halbste Held der ganzen Welt* was nominated for the Zurich Children’s Book Prize.
