Aisha Franz (born 1984) worked as a freelance comic author and illustrator. She published three graphic novels, including Shit Is Real and Where is Aisha. The English edition of Shit Is Real was nominated for the L. A. Times Book Award in 2019. In 2020, Franz received a fellowship from the Berlin Senate’s cultural administration in the field of comics.
