The Raven King (All for the Game)

von Nora Sakavic

Format:Softcover

The Foxes are a fractured mess, but their latest disaster might be the miracle they've always needed to come together as a team. The one person standing in their way is Andrew, and the only one who can break through his personal barriers is Neil. Except Andrew doesn't give up anything for free and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself. The two don't have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart. Riko is intent on destroying Neil's fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage. Neil's days are numbered, but he's learning the hard way to go down fighting for what he believes in, and Neil believes in Andrew even if Andrew won't believe in himself.

Feeling homicidal and homophobic

I think I'm a different person than I was 3 days ago. This book changed me. The stuff with Drake and Andrew... Also Neil at the Nest. I'm actually speechless and it's only downhill from here based on what I've seen online. From what I'm writing it sounds like I hated the book, but I think this might be the best piece of literature I've ever read. I love the characters so much and it's so unbelievably interesting. I'm really excited to see the foxes reunite with sober Andrew and for them to take on the ravens.

Rereading this book felt like coming home. A very chaotic, emotionally devastating home, but home nonetheless. This is part two of my favorite series of all time (yes, I will fight over this), and every single time I reread it, I ask myself the same question: Who gave Nora Sakavic the right. The Raven King is pain. It is trauma. It is murder. It is trust issues. It is Exy. It’s also me losing my will to live on page 7 and still saying “one more chapter” until it’s 3 a.m. and I’m emotionally unwell. At this point, this series owns me. Like fully. I’m rereading it, and somehow it still hurts like the first time?? I know what’s coming and yet I’m curled in bed like “not again😭.” These books are not for the faint of heart. If you enjoy healthy communication and stable relationships, please leave. This is not your safe space. BUT if you’re into found family, morally grey characters, emotional carnage, and a sport no one actually understands Welcome to your new religion. Also yes, I still have the merch. Still have the foot mat. Still fall asleep to the audiobooks like a mentally unwell Victorian child listening to ghost stories. Zero regrets. I love this series with every broken little piece of my soul. A million out of ten. Would reread forever. And probably will.
