Rezension von booq_cafe[3,5] Das Buch lässt sich unglaublich schnell lesen (was auch an der riesigen Schrift liegen könnte) und ich habe es in kürzester Zeit verschlungen. Die Idee des Autors konnte mich absolut überzeugen. Anfangs findet man sich in einem Rätsel wieder, das es zu lösen gilt. Daher macht das Lesen unglaublich Spaß und man verfällt schnell dem Sog der Geschichte. Die Entwicklung des "Rätsels" ist sehr gut gelungen - zu keinem Zeitpunkt erscheint die Darstellung zu langwierig. Der Gegenpol der schnellen Entwicklung ist, dass sich auch die Gefühle der Charaktere an manchen Stellen etwas zu schnell entwickeln. Anfangs konnte ich die gegenseitige Anziehung gut nachvollziehen und habe richtig mitgefiebert. Mit Fortschreiten des Buches geht an manchen Stellen die Romantik und die Magie der ersten Seiten etwas verloren und der Fokus wird auf andere Probleme gelenkt. Das fand ich etwas schade, da ich gern tieferes über die Charaktere und ihre Beziehung zueinander gelernt hätte. Die Charaktere erschienen mir manchmal zu oberflächlich gestaltet, da der schnelle Verlauf der Story überhand nahm und Ambrose und Kodiak mit ganz anderen Dingen beschäftigt waren. An diesen Stellen hätten dem Buch ein paar mehr Seiten ganz gut getan. Es wurde meist auf Konversationen zwischen den beiden als einziges Werkzeug zurück gegriffen, um ihre Gefühle füreinander darzustellen. Das war einerseits sehr kurzweilig andererseits teils zu oberflächlich. Das Buch bleibt durchgehend spannend, konnte jedoch keine tieferen Emotionen bei mir hervorrufen, wozu es bei dem Verlauf der Geschichte durch aus Potential gegeben hätte. Die Charaktere waren mir sehr sympathisch und ihre Handlungen für mich immer nachvollziehbar und ehrlich. Grade für Sci-Fi Einsteiger würde ich das Buch empfehlen, da es nicht zu komplex ist und eine sehr cute Lovestory mit inbegriffen ist.
