Zoe Beck

Zoë Beck (born 1975) studied literature, English and German at universities in Germany and England. After working in film and theater, she pursued a career as a writer, translator, dialogue writer and dialogue director. She also worked as a publisher at CulturBooks. Authors she has translated include Sally Rooney, Amanda Lee Koe, Ling Ma and James Grady. Her novels and short stories have received several awards, including the Friedrich Glauser Prize, the Radio Bremen Crime Fiction Prize and the German Crime Fiction Prize. She studied piano and published her first young adult novel, Edvard.
