Zeinab Badawi

Zeinab Badawi was born in Sudan and is a broadcaster, journalist and filmmaker. She studied at the University of Oxford, where she earned a master’s degree with distinction in history and anthropology. Badawi presented a BBC series on the history of Africa and served as chair of the Royal African Society. Her work has received awards, and she has been awarded several honorary doctorates. Her first book is *An African History of Africa*.
